Trail Conditions

We received 20cm of snow over night. Our groomers will be out to pack it this morning.

The trails were last packed on Dec. 19th. This morning the trails are fast and hard.  As a result of the wind the last few days, there are leaves and small twigs covering most trails.  The Hardwood loop is the least affected by debris. Rock skis recommend. Hopefully we get the forecasted snow this evening and then we will be able to pack the trails.

All trails were packed tonight after receiving 3 to 4 cm of new snow(except the Yellow from the Pavilion to Orange and Blue trail). The impact of the warm temperatures and rain on Thursday were not as bad as forecasted. The base was reduced but held up. The trails will be hard and fast tomorrow unless we get more snow overnight. Exercise Caution when skiing tomorrow as there were a number branches which fell onto the trails caused by the high winds today.

Due to the warm weather and soft snow base, trails were not groomed last night. Today more warm temperatures and rain is expected, so grooming will not resume until the colder weather and snow returns.

If you choose to ski be aware that there will be soft snow and possible thin or bare areas.

All trails groomed this evening. Double track set on Yellow from the Pavilion to the South West corner of the pit. All other tracks left as previously set. Conditions are very good!

Complete groom except Yellow from the Pavilion. One grooming pass on Blue, reset track on the Red (Hardwoods). A nice addition of a couple of cm of snow this afternoon. Get out and enjoy the great ski conditions again tomorrow!

Complete system groom except Yellow from the Pavilion. Cold temperatures allowed for the renovating bar on the groomer to be set deeply to scuffle the base thoroughly which will help catch the 1-3 cm of snow forecast for tomorrow. Before the forecasted snow the trails will be hard and fast, and as the snow falls conditions will be slower. Set track will benefit from being skied in as the snow accumulates. A reminder that we have night skiing on the Hardwood Loop only until 9:00pm. No skiing in the unlit areas as grooming usually takes place in the evening.
