Trail Conditions

Dec. 26, 2024

All trails groomed this morning. Only a skiff of new snow was in the air earlier this morning. Inner Red, porcupine hill, and the “S” turn remain thin. Yellow/Purple by County Rd. 16 is thin. Inner purple loop in the pits has crusted ice under a thin layer of snow. Red (hardwoods) is in good shape, with minimal brown spots that are easily avoided while skiing and have the potential to become larger as temperatures are forecast to rise later this week. Get out and enjoy yourselves while ski conditions are good!

Great to see more snow yesterday and last night! Trail conditions are steadily improving. An early skier confirmed this morning that the trails are in the best condition thus far this year. All trails groomed except blue and yellow from the pavilion; yellow was rolled last night. Trail conditions are thin on Porcupine Hill and the “S” turn on inner red. Main red hardwood trail is in good shape. Hopefully temperatures will remain below 0 so that all can enjoy some holiday fun!

We received approximately 5cm of new snow overnight. We are going to try and compact that snow this morning. The base will be quite thin so caution is advised when skiing.

All trails were groomed this evening. The base is still quite thin in a number of areas. You will notice some leaves have been brought to the surface because of a lack of snow. These areas can be skied around. It looks like the temperature for Monday and Tuesday will be above zero with rain Monday evening which will have an impact on the trails. Tomorrow looks good to ski with the temperature just below zero.
