Trail Conditions

THE TRAILS ARE OPEN!

We received approximately 10 to 12 cm of new snow yesterday.

A number of trails were groomed this morning including the hardwood loop, Orange trail from the Hardwood loop to Ken’s Lane, Ken’s Lane, the Yellow trail from Ken’s Lane to the Hardwood loop, the Valley trail and Ross’s Revenge.

Caution should be exercised while skiing as there will be some debris under the snow. Best to use your old skis until the base is built up.

We got snow! Approximately 10 to 15cm. All trails were groomed this evening except part of the inner Purple in the pit and part of the Blue through the swampy portion after Hell’s Bell’s. No track was set.

The base is thin but quite skiable. Exercise Caution as there may be hazards just below the surface. Rock skis are recommended.

This weekend will probably be the last ski of the season.

The trails are very hard and icy this morning. It will be very difficult to control speed on downhills. Only experienced skiers should venture out on the trails. Rock skis are recommended. Use caution. Be aware of bare spots and ice. The causeway is icy and bare in several spots. Hell’s Bells is bare. Blue has roots showing. Waiting for the temperature to warm up would be best if you want to go for a ski.
